Bio
Mr. Anthony Baird is the Director of Bands at North Habersham Middle School. He is a music educator, conductor, and trumpet performer with nearly twenty years of experience helping students grow musically while fostering teamwork and pride.
Mr. Baird’s experience includes directing thriving middle and high school band programs, with ensembles consistently earning superior ratings at state assessments and students regularly selected for All-State bands and regional honor ensembles. His students have gone on to study at prestigious institutions including the Eastman School of Music, University of North Texas, and Royal Academy of Music. Additionally, Mr. Baird served as Director of Bands and Music Department Chair at Lindsey Wilson College and Visiting Professor of Trumpet and Music Education at Wayne State College.
As a performer, he has shared the stage with Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning artists such as The SteelDrivers, Alvin Love, Chester Thompson, Laura Bell Bundy, Denyce Graves, and American Idol finalist Melinda Doolittle, as well as performing with regional symphony orchestras, jazz ensembles, and chamber groups.
